We are seeking an outgoing individual to join our exciting team of nature lovers here at Wild Birds Unlimited in Mt. Pleasant. We’re welcoming Part-Time Sales Associates with great retail and service skills. Providing excellent service to our truly amazing customers is top priority, second ONLY to keeping our team happy and fulfilled! Working at our store is an opportunity to learn about the beautiful birds and diverse nature that can be found right outside the back door. Our goal is to support and educate our friendly customers about backyard birds and teach them how to create a beautiful wildlife refuge in their own backyard!

Our Sales Associates work with other staff, including the owner, to bring to life the store’s mission – “We Bring People and Nature Together®…And We Do It With Excellence!” The difference between Wild Birds Unlimited and other retailers goes far beyond what we sell. It's who we are! Enthusiasm, professionalism, informed advice and superior customer service are the hallmarks of our staff. To that end, we provide training with regard to backyard bird feeding, bird watching and product knowledge.


Prior retail experience preferred
Friendly, outgoing disposition.
Wild bird feeding experience is a plus but we can train
Interest in nature and wildlife is a requirement
Must be available to work weekends as well as weekdays
Must be available to work during peak busy periods. Vacations are not permitted during these periods which are announced ahead of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb. bags of birdseed as we offer carryout services to all of our customers
Ability to work in a fast paced setting and spend extended periods of time on ones feet.
Comfortable with computers and able to use a computer-based POS system and Excel spreadsheets (training provided).

Advancement Opportunities:

Full-time opportunities are available for part-time employees that excel in their position. From there, team leader and management positions may also become available.

Paid Training: Yes

Pay frequency: Every other week

Management: Store Manager & Store Owner work with and at the store

Employees working per shift: 4 or fewer
